Symptom narrative

inadvertently administered an expired dose of Engerix B; This non-serious case was reported by a nurse via call center representative and described the occurrence of expired vaccine used in a 65-year-old male patient who received HBV (Engerix B) (batch number 4T39P, expiry date 09-DEC-2025) for prophylaxis. On 04-MAR-2026, the patient received the 3rd dose of Engerix B. On 04-MAR-2026, an unknown time after receiving Engerix B, the patient experienced expired vaccine used (Verbatim: inadvertently administered an expired dose of Engerix B). The outcome of the expired vaccine used was not applicable. This report is made by GSK without prejudice and does not imply any admission or liability for the incident or its consequences.
