suspected vaccination failure; shingles/pain/itching/burning; miserable; This serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of vaccination failure in a 89-year-old female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) for prophylaxis. Co-suspect products included Varicella zoster vaccine for prophylaxis and Varicella zoster vaccine for prophylaxis. On an unknown date, the patient received Shingles vaccine, the 1st dose of Varicella zoster vaccine and the 2nd dose of Varicella zoster vaccine. On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Shingles vaccine and an unknown time after receiving Varicella zoster vaccine and Varicella zoster vaccine, the patient experienced vaccination failure (Verbatim: suspected vaccination failure) (serious criteria GSK medically significant), shingles (Verbatim: shingles/pain/itching/burning) and feeling miserable (Verbatim: miserable). The outcome of the vaccination failure was not reported and the outcome of the shingles and feeling miserable were not resolved. It was unknown if the reporter considered the vaccination failure, shingles and feeling miserable to be related to Shingles vaccine. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 19-MAR-2026 This case was reported by patient via interactive digital media. Patient had shingles vaccine and had shingles for almost a month on back and they were going around under her breast following the nerve line and was making her miserable. Also stated that they were better but still had the burning and some pain and the itching, patient thought she still had the shingles. Patient stated that she had both the shots in her 50's and the booster later, she thought it was safe but still got them. This case was considered as suspected vaccination failure as details regarding completion of primary vaccination schedule, time to onset for shingles and laboratory confirmation regarding shingles were unknown at the time of reporting.
