patient that is currently 15 years old received 2 doses of GARDASIL 9 and was recently diagnosed with Alpha-gal syndrome; This spontaneous report was received from a pharmacist concerning a currently 15-year-old female patient. The patient's medical history, past medications, concurrent conditions, concomitant medications and drug reactions/allergies were not reported. On unreported date (s), the patient was vaccinated with the first two doses of human papillomavirus 9-valent vaccine, recombinant (GARDASIL 9) suspension for injection, 1 dosage form each (batch/lot number [s], anatomical location [s], and route [s] of administration were not reported) administered a prophylaxis. On an unknown date (reported as "recently") after receiving the first two doses, the patient was diagnosed with Alpha-gal syndrome (food allergy). The exact timing of the diagnosis was unknown in relation to receiving the human papillomavirus 9-valent vaccine, recombinant (GARDASIL 9), and the reporter could not provide or confirm additional details.
