shingles/outbreak; This non-serious case was reported by a consumer via call center representative and described the occurrence of shingles in a patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. On 02-MAR-2026, the patient received the 1st dose of Shingrix. On 06-MAR-2026, 4 days after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced shingles (Verbatim: shingles/outbreak). The outcome of the shingles was resolving. It was unknown if the reporter considered the shingles to be related to Shingrix. It was unknown if the company considered the shingles to be related to Shingrix. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 22-MAR-2026 The patient never had shingles at all before the administration of Shingrix. The patient reported 4 days after the patient got the Shingrix vaccine which should be impossible since the vaccine dies not carry the virus. It was a severe outbreak from which the patient was in the 4th week of recovery at the time of reporting. The pain was so agonizing that the patient had to go to the emergency room while on the shingles recovery meds. The emergency room doctor (who suffers from episodes himself) advised not to get the 2nd dosage. The family doctor advised against getting the 2nd shot as well. The patient enquired why would they advise against a 2nd shot if there was nothing wrong with the vaccine. The patient had contacted the vaccine division of the Food and Drug Administration. The batch number was not provided and a request for this information has been made.
