Symptom narrative

Patient had unexplained ejection fraction heart failure/ejection fraction was reduced; This spontaneous case was reported by a consumer and describes the occurrence of HEART FAILURE WITH REDUCED EJECTION FRACTION (Patient had unexplained ejection fraction heart failure/ejection fraction was reduced) in an adult male patient who received mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) for COVID-19 prophylaxis. No Medical History information was reported. In September 2021, the patient received dose of mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (Intramuscular use) 1 dosage form. In September 2021, received dose of mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (Intramuscular use) dosage was changed to 1 dosage form. On an unknown date, the patient experienced HEART FAILURE WITH REDUCED EJECTION FRACTION (Patient had unexplained ejection fraction heart failure/ejection fraction was reduced) (seriousness criterion medically significant). At the time of the report, HEART FAILURE WITH REDUCED EJECTION FRACTION (Patient had unexplained ejection fraction heart failure/ejection fraction was reduced) had not resolved. DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS (normal ranges are provided in parenthesis if available): On an unknown date, Ejection fraction: reduced. No concomitant medication was reported. The patient was disappointed with Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine and felt he was scammed by the medical doctors for even getting the COVID shot in the first place. He had a bunch of side effects, and it was serious. The patient did not want anybody else to go through the same what he was going through, and there were too many people going through, and it was still being sold. The cardiologist said that there was no damage, but it was because of the spike protein being inside the patient's heart or something along those lines. The spiked protein that Moderna created, made the vaccine work, was stuck in the patient's heart and they also told him that it would never go away. The patient did not have all information regarding the vaccination, and it was just in September, and then he went back. He thought it was 2 weeks, whatever the initial thing was, if it was 2 weeks or a month, the patient did not remember. The patient went back that day and then got the shot again. Both the vaccines were done in September. The patient had the documentation of his vaccination. It was unknown if the patient experienced any additional symptoms/events. No treatment medication was reported. No causality was provided.
