flu like symptoms; redness, where the injection site; fever for a few days; This is a spontaneous report received from a Physician. A patient (age and gender not provided) received pneumococcal 20-val conj vac (dipht CRM197 protein) (PREVNAR 20), as dose number unknown, single (Batch/Lot number: unknown) for immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history and concomitant medications were not reported. The following information was reported: INFLUENZA LIKE ILLNESS (non-serious), outcome "unknown", described as "flu like symptoms"; VACCINATION SITE ERYTHEMA (non-serious), outcome "unknown", described as "redness, where the injection site"; PYREXIA (non-serious), outcome "unknown", described as "fever for a few days". Therapeutic measures were taken as a result of vaccination site erythema. The information on the batch/lot number for pneumococcal 20-val conj vac (dipht CRM197 protein) will be requested and submitted if and when received. Additional information: Pfizer employee stated, "I am actuality a Pfizer employee. I had a interaction with a physician today that uses Prevnar 20 out vaccine and he had two separate occasions with two different patients that experienced side effects. On one patient which I know was female (Patient gender captured as female in tab) and that is all I know about the patient, but she experienced some injection site pain that lasted about 7 days and then there was another patient which I do not know, if it was male or female, but just I know that it was second patient that had some redness, where the injection site was and the patient experienced a fever for a few days and flu like symptoms and I believe that the doctor gave the patients some pain medication, like cream to help with the pain. It was unknown if the patient demographics and have any other medical condition, concomitant medication, lab test, dosage, indication, date of vaccination and treatment for both the patients: Pfizer employee stated. Pfizer employee stated that It was Hydrocortisone given to the one who got a rash and fever, I believe he has the hydrocortisone cream. It was unknown if the patient received any other vaccines on the same date as the Prevnar 20 When clarified if do not have the information if both the patients received any other vaccines within 4 weeks and 2 weeks prior to the first administration of Prevnar 20: Pfizer representative stated, You are right. When probed if any adverse event resulted to the emergency room visit or hospitalization: Pfizer employee stated, "I do not think so. No. I do not think they went to emergency room. When probed if both the patients received the Prevnar 20 before: Pfizer employee stated, No, I do not. When probed if both the patient are allergic to any previous vaccination, medications and food: Pfizer employee stated, No, I do not know, Other medical conditions, concomitant products, and lab test details are not available as Pfizer employee did not have the information; hence the tabs have been left unchecked. Causality for both patients: Pfizer employee stated, I think he does. Yes.
