Symptom narrative

Member experienced an adverse event following immunization (AEFI) after her 1st dose of JYNNEOS. On 19 Mar 2026, she received JYNNEOS 0.5 mL subcutaneously in left arm for readiness for pre-event smallpox protection. She experienced redness and induration at injection site that measured up to 6 cm wide, persisting thru today (8 days after vaccination). She reported exacerbation of headaches over the week after vaccination as well. This AEFI likely represents a robust immune response, experienced both locally and systemically.
