Symptom narrative

the injection sites had redness; the injection sites had swelling; the injection sites had induration; the injection sites had itchy; skin hot to the touch; the injection sites had pain; This non-serious case was reported by a nurse via call center representative and described the occurrence of injection site erythema in a elderly female patient who received DTPa (Reduced antigen) (Tdap Vaccine) for prophylaxis. Co-suspect products included RSVPreF3 adjuvanted (RSV vaccine) for prophylaxis. Previously administered products included Zostavax (previous vaccination with Zostavax about 10 to 15 years ago). Concurrent medical conditions included latex allergy (allergies to latex) and allergy (allergies to papaya and mango). In MAR-2026, the patient received Tdap Vaccine and RSV vaccine. In MAR-2026, 48 hrs after receiving Tdap Vaccine and RSV vaccine, the patient experienced injection site erythema (Verbatim: the injection sites had redness), injection site swelling (Verbatim: the injection sites had swelling), injection site induration (Verbatim: the injection sites had induration), injection site itching (Verbatim: the injection sites had itchy), injection site warmth (Verbatim: skin hot to the touch) and injection site pain (Verbatim: the injection sites had pain). In MAR-2026, the outcome of the injection site erythema, injection site swelling, injection site induration, injection site warmth and injection site pain were resolved (duration 4 days) and the outcome of the injection site itching was resolved (duration 2 days). The reporter considered the injection site erythema, injection site swelling, injection site induration, injection site itching, injection site warmth and injection site pain to be related to Tdap Vaccine and RSV vaccine. The company considered the injection site erythema, injection site swelling, injection site induration, injection site itching, injection site warmth and injection site pain to be related to Tdap Vaccine and RSV vaccine. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 23-MAR-2026 The reporter was a patient and retired nurse. About two weeks ago she received a Tdap vaccine and an RSV vaccine on the same day, one vaccine in each arm. The patient does not know which vaccine was in each arm. The patient does not know the names or manufacturers of these vaccines. About twelve hours later, she had pain at the injection sites. About forty-eight hours after vaccination, the injection sites had redness, swelling, and induration that was hot to the touch. She treated these effects with ice packs. These effects were resolved after about four days. The injection sites became itchy a few days after the redness began. The itchiness lasted about two days. Nothing else was reported.
