pneumonia; This is a spontaneous report received from a Consumer or other non HCP. A 62-year-old male patient received pneumococcal 20-val conj vac (dipht CRM197 protein) (PREVNAR 20), on 11Feb2026 as dose number unknown, single (Batch/Lot number: unknown) for pneumococcal immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history and concomitant medications were not reported. The following information was reported: PNEUMONIA PNEUMOCOCCAL (hospitalization) with onset 14Feb2026, outcome "recovering", described as "pneumonia". The patient was hospitalized for pneumonia pneumococcal (start date: 14Feb2026, discharge date: 16Feb2026, hospitalization duration: 3 day(s)). The event "pneumonia" required emergency room visit. The patient underwent the following laboratory tests and procedures: Blood test: all normal; labs: all normal; X-ray: still has it, notes: 30 day x-ray. The information on the batch/lot number for pneumococcal 20-val conj vac (dipht CRM197 protein) will be requested and submitted if and when received. Clinical course: Patient stated he had the vaccine on 11Feb2026, had an annual physical, had blood work and all that, which was all normal. 3 days later, on 14Feb2026, he was in the ER with pneumonia, was admitted for 3 days and discharged on 16Feb2026, that Monday. He stated it's not completely resolved. He just had a 30 day x-ray and he still has it. He stated no just an x-ray and to follow up in 60 days.
