Symptom narrative

I administered the Kinrix vaccine in his left arm on 03-23-2026. On 03-31-2026, the mother called the County Health Dept around 4:50PM and said that 3 days after receiving the vaccine (03-26-2026 around 1PM), her son had a small, red spot that was itching on the arm in the area where he received the vaccine. She also stated that she was not sure if this was an allergy/reaction to the vaccine or if it was because his older sister punched him in the arm. Mother also mentioned they were playing outside so this could have been an insect bite. Mom gave him Benadryl and within the same hour, the redness and itching had subsided. The child had no other symptoms. She was unsure so she notified us.
