Loss of consciousnessSyncope

Symptom narrative

-Vasovagal syncope for ~ 1minutes and loss of consciousness for ~ 1 minute -Patient fainted after tdap vaccine was administered. Called for help and patient spontaneously woke up. Blood pressure checked with small blue adult cuff. Patient was offered apple juice, a cup of water, & a granola bar, and finished consuming them all. Patient monitored for about 15 minutes in RN room. Blood pressure checked again before had a seat in the lobby. Advised patient to wait an additional 15 minutes in the lobby before going home.
