Per mom, on 3/30/2026 and 3/31/2026, patient developed a low-grade fever (The highest fever being 100.6.) and then she noticed spots on the evening of 3/31/2026. On 4/1/2026, mom noticed the rash on his face, trunk, arms, and hands. The rash did not seem to bother the patient or cause him pain. Per mom, he has had a slight cough since Wednesday, 4/1/2026. Patient came into the office and was evaluated by the CRNP in the office. After consulting with Dr, guidance was given based off the diagnosis of a Vesicular Rash. Treatment included the following: -Have discussed possible viral related rash or a reactivation of varicella following vaccination one week prior. -If the lesions start to crust and harden over the weekend, to update the office. - Give Motrin/Tylenol for fever - Manage secretions with suction and saline, humidifier, encouraging blowing nose as appropriate - If 5+ days of fevers (>100.4F), difficulty breathing, inability to keep fluids down, or 3 or fewer wet diapers in 24 hours then seek care urgently -Avoid immunocompromised individuals until resolved. -Cream on the spots that are likely to scar Mom agreeable with plan and guidance and will monitor at this time.
