Symptom narrative

New employee received first dose of Hepatitis A shot via employee health last week on 3/24 /26. On the day of the shot, she started feeling itchy. The next day, her left eye was black underneath and started getting puffy. Friday 3/27, she had an asthma attack at work and went home to get her inhaler. She thought it was from her seasonal allergies. Saturday 3/28, her right eye started turning black underneath, her face began swelling more, and became tingly and had numbness. Employee put an ice pack on it to alleviate the symptoms. On Tuesday 3/31 employee was released from work in the morning due to worsening symptoms, after which she reported to the emergency room. At ED she was diagnosed with angioedema most likely caused by an allergic reaction to the Hepatitis A shot, and was advised to not receive the 2nd shot.
