Symptom narrative

After receiving Boostrix vaccine, the patient felt a little light headed. She drank some water while sitting still and asked for a minute, after a minute she said she felt fine to get her second vaccine, Vaqta. At that point she began to faint and the technician helped to lower her to the ground as she called the pharmacist back. Her husband was present in the waiting area and came into the counseling room and notified us that this has happened in the past with previous vaccines and plasma draws. The patient became responsive after a couple of minutes and rested in the counseling room with her husband and the pharmacist for about an hour. We provider her with orange juice, crackers and gatoraid at her request. The patient did have waves of nausea, but did not throw up. The patient walked out with her husband.
