Approx 5 mins following injection of vaccine patient had vasovagal syncopal event. Was already sitting in a reclined chair with feet elevated prior to syncope. Patient did not fall/hit head. Provider was immediately notified by support staff and came into room to evaluate patient. At that time, BP 110/70, HR 85, 02 sat RA 97%, POC glucose 108. Pt syncope lasted about 30 second to 1 minute, patient woke up alert and oriented but just weak. Pale in color. Speaking in full clear sentences. Was given juice and crackers along with a fan directed on patient with cool air. Pts color returned and he was monitored in the room for 30 mins before discharged from the clinic at 10:00am with complete resolution of symptoms.
