Symptom narrative

I had my flu shot in store at 5pm on 1/5/2026. I had an active day of walking 3 miles with a friend, pickleball, and heavy chores as was normal for me but 24 hours after the shot I began having severe headaches, distorted vision with circular light flashes, and pulsatile tinnitus and positional head pressure was added to the mix on the following day. I waited until 1-7 to see my neurologist at the neuroscience institute who prescribed a triptan and told me to call if it didn't help. The next day 1-8 I called and she got me a same day CT-V that showed blood clots in the arteries that drain the blood into the jugulars. 1-9 I had surgery by Dr to break up the clots and restore blood flow. The clots in the smaller veins and capillaries were not able to be removed. I am not on blood thinners, weak, and trying to regain strength. I cannot help but to think that the flu shot contributed to this. I haven't gotten the flu shot in many years.
