Patient received HPV vaccine in left arm at approx 0955. At the time, patient had no other signs or symptoms. As patient was walking to check out of appointment, patient had syncopal episode in the waiting area at approx 1000. Patient had no recollection of event but did have recollection of event prior to and after. Patient vitals were rechecked and notable for HR 52 and BP of 100/62, O2 98%. At approx 1005, orthostatic vitals were performed with previous HR and BP when patient was lying down on the table. Upon standing, HR peaked at 120 within 5 seconds and patient reported dizziness and their head hurting. A standing BP was attempted but patient had to lie back down due to worsening dizziness and feeling of passing out. Blood glucose taken at 1020 was 97. HR was rechecked periodically throughout with HR of 60 at 1039, 58 at 1057 all while sitting on table with back against the wall, legs not dangling off edge. Patient kept reporting return of dizziness and head hurting whenever patient would adjust from sitting against the wall, legs on table to sitting against wall with legs dangling. EMS was called and rechecked vitals and performed basic EKG. EMS personnel reported what appeared to be an arrhythmia, heart rate was around 100. Patient was taken by EMS to hospital for observation and additional assessment
