Symptom narrative

within about 24 hours after RSV vaccination pt reports: I started having trouble falling asleep. Just as I would start to doze off, I would immediately wake up gasping for air. Apparently as I transitioned from wakefulness to sleep, I would stop breathing. That is, as I went from breathing while awake to breathing while asleep, I would stop breathing. It was if my brain was not taking over the breathing as I went to an unconscious or sleep state. This was how it occurred each time. For two months, from 8.20.25 to 10.20.25, I did not get any sleep except when I would finally pass out after 36 to 48 hours being awake and after reaching "full exhaustion" and then I would only sleep for an hour or two. Then it was back to the same thing. My brain truly felt "fried." I was having random thoughts that made no sense. I could not drive nor could I function in any normal way. It was very bad. When you prescribed the two mirtazapine, and on 10.20.25 I was able to fall asleep for a few hours that night. I also took 10 mg of over the counter Melatonin. This has been my procedure since then. Beginning on 10.20.2025 and over the next few weeks, the sleep lasted longer and longer to the present which is now about 5 to 6 hours a night with 1 to 2 wake ups for bathroom. I believe the vaccine is pretty much out of my system now.
