Reported Symptoms: 10008531:CHILLS; 10016558:FEVER; 10040527:SHAKINESS; Narrative: 43 y/r male with PMX of obesity( BMI of 40.70), OSA, musculoskeletal pain, essential HTN, and chronic rhinitis received 2 vaccinations on March 13,2026. He received Afluria(quadrivalent inactivated influenza vaccine ) and pneumococcal conjugate 21(capvaxie). Prior to this he had received PPV 23 in Oct 2017 and the COVID vaccine( moderna in feb and April 2021). He had also received prior seasons of the influenza vaccine in Oct 2021, Oct 2022, March2019). He has since refused the COVID vaccine in 2023, 2024, and 2026. He did not have any reactions to the vaccine during his visit. But then in the evening of march 13,2026 he started having chills and a subjective fever. Per the provider he developed shakes and pain at the site of injection of his pneumococcal vaccine. He was unable to abduct his right shoulder because of the pain from his right arm. There was also development of erythema and swelling at the sight of injection. Per the provider there was increased warmth and right axillary pain which spread to his upper arm with some central clearing. He also felt tired and rested in bed for 2 days. He hydrated and took some nyquil for symptomatic relief. On the 15th he was reported to be feeling better.
