suspected vaccination failure; I still got it/shingles; scars are the same as of when I had the chickenpox; This serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of vaccination failure in a patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) for prophylaxis. Co-suspect products included Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) for prophylaxis. The patient's past medical history included chickenpox (many years ago) and scar. On an unknown date, the patient received the 2nd dose of Shingles vaccine and the 1st dose of Shingles vaccine. On an unknown date, less than 2 years after receiving Shingles vaccine and Shingles vaccine, the patient experienced vaccination failure (Verbatim: suspected vaccination failure) (serious criteria GSK medically significant), shingles (Verbatim: I still got it/shingles) and scar (Verbatim: scars are the same as of when I had the chickenpox). The outcome of the vaccination failure and scar were not reported and the outcome of the shingles was resolving. It was unknown if the reporter considered the vaccination failure, shingles and scar to be related to Shingles vaccine and Shingles vaccine. The patient had received the shingles vaccine last year (2025) both the first and second doses and still developed shingles. The shingles had been on his/her back for almost four weeks. It had been an excruciating, burning pain and had hit him/her pretty hard. This case was considered as suspected vaccination failure as details regarding laboratory confirmation regarding shingles were unknown at the time of reporting.
