Flu like symptoms/began to feel ill; Had a 103 temperature; assumes the illness was Covid/began to feel ill/sick for 2 weeks; This spontaneous case was reported by a consumer and describes the occurrence of INFLUENZA LIKE ILLNESS (Flu like symptoms/began to feel ill), PYREXIA (Had a 103 temperature) and SUSPECTED COVID-19 (assumes the illness was Covid/began to feel ill/sick for 2 weeks) in a 64-year-old female patient who received mRNA-1273.712 (SPIKEVAX 2024-2025 PFS) for COVID-19 prophylaxis. The suspect product included Pre-filled Syringe injection for COVID-19 prophylaxis and Co-suspect product included Influenza vaccine (Flu) for an unknown indication. No Medical History information was reported. In September 2024, the patient received dose of mRNA-1273.712 (SPIKEVAX 2024-2025 PFS) (unknown route) 1 dosage form and dose of Influenza vaccine (Flu) (unknown route) 1 dosage form. On an unknown date, the patient started Pre-filled Syringe (unknown route) at an unspecified dose. In March 2025, the patient experienced INFLUENZA LIKE ILLNESS (Flu like symptoms/began to feel ill), PYREXIA (Had a 103 temperature) and SUSPECTED COVID-19 (assumes the illness was Covid/began to feel ill/sick for 2 weeks). In March 2025, INFLUENZA LIKE ILLNESS (Flu like symptoms/began to feel ill), PYREXIA (Had a 103 temperature) and SUSPECTED COVID-19 (assumes the illness was Covid/began to feel ill/sick for 2 weeks) had resolved. DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS (normal ranges are provided in parenthesis if available): In March 2025, Body temperature: 103. In March 2025, SARS-CoV-2 test: Negative. Concomitant medication was not reported. Patient had only Moderna Covid vaccines since they were released, approximately 10 shots with most recent being April 2026. It was reported that patient had Moderna ever since there was COVID vaccines, that's what she was given, that was what she was stuck with. But a year ago, she did get COVID for two weeks and it was bad. She got shots every year. The first two weeks of March, her husband went out more than her. She was very careful. She still had mask. So that was a good 6 months after getting the booster. He somewhere somehow picked up a strain. He came home with it, and they were sick for two weeks. She began to feel ill 2 days after her husband. However, she did not test until 2 weeks later, at that point, the test was negative. It was reported as flu-like symptoms. She had flu, like other stuff. She had a 103 temperature and then it just dragged on. Then it got better, but she was down for the count. It was the first time she had ever received the senior flu vaccine. But when she had it in September, she had that and the flu shot at the same time. They got a lot more side effects from that senior flu shot than the COVID vaccine. Treatment medication was not reported.
