Symptom narrative

Infant developed mild hyperpigmentation and a small indention in skin at the site of the Vaxelis vaccination at 2 months of age. This defect in the skin was persistent at 4 months of age. The skin defect possibly represent fat necrosis caused by an inflammatory or hypersensitivity response to the vaccine. No infant impairment was noted. No long term sequelae other than possible small cosmetic defect are anticipated. No treatment is deemed necessary at this time.
