Symptom narrative

HCP stated that no symptoms were reported; Patient received VARIVAX rather than receiving the prescribed, VIMKUNYA; This spontaneous report was received from a Physician and refers to an Adult (approximately like 50 something) male patient. The patient's medical history, concurrent conditions and concomitant therapies were not reported. On 12-Apr-2026, the patient started was mistakenly vaccinated with Varicella Virus Vaccine Live (Oka-Merck) (VARIVAX), (lot #, expiration date, exact dose, route of administration and anatomical location were not provided) for prophylaxis. The vaccine was reconstituted with sterile diluent (Hollister-Stier STERILE DILUENT), (lot # and expiration date were not reported). On 13-Apr-2026 (the next day), the patient realized that he received Varicella Virus Vaccine Live (Oka-Merck) (VARIVAX) rather than receiving the prescribed Vimkunya (Chikungunya virus vaccine VLP r C,E1,E2 (HEK293)) (drug not administered) (wrong product administered). No symptoms were reported (no adverse event).
