Patient received the Prevnar 20 pneumococcal vaccine on 4/8/2026 and subsequently developed a localized reaction at the left deltoid site by 4/10/2026, presenting as a 6 cm erythematous area with mild swelling, warmth, pain, burning, and vomiting, but without systemic allergic symptoms, fever, rash, hives, angioedema, or anaphylaxis. Management included Medrol, loratadine, acetaminophen, and cephalexin; the reaction improved with conservative treatment, and no induration or systemic involvement was noted on follow-up, but burning pain of left deltoid has still remained. She has declined any further medication treatment at this time.
