Concerns with packaging Similarities Shingrix/Havrix; This non-serious case was reported by a physician and described the occurrence of look alike packaging in a patient who did not receive Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. Co-suspect products included HAV (Havrix 720) for prophylaxis. The patient did not receive Shingrix and Havrix 720. The patient experienced look alike packaging (Verbatim: Concerns with packaging Similarities Shingrix/Havrix). The outcome of the look alike packaging was not applicable. This report is made by GSK without prejudice and does not imply any admission or liability for the incident or its consequences. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 03-APR-2026 The reporter had some major concerns with the packaging of Shingrix. The packaging was almost exact with the same colors and design. Physician understand that should read the box to confirm, however, read color when reading and make ourselves believe what we grab was what they need. The physician afraid a toddler was going to get a Shingrix vaccination instead of Havrix. Physician strongly recommend that the packaging was change immediately to prevent any harm to patients. Most of his/her clinics see adults and pediatrics and vaccines were stored in the same refrigeration unit. Though they try to keep them separated, mistakes can easily be mistaken with packaging like this.
