Her symptoms lessened, but she still had a rash, swollen eyes, feels very unwell, and had difficulty breathing. Upon being transferred, caller confirmed what the transferring agent had said. She mentioned that she had gone to her annual doctor's appointment, that she had always been very healthy, and that she was only allergic to latex, like bandages and things like that, but that she had never had a reaction before. On Friday morning, 02Apr, the doctor told her she was fine, but that at 50 she should get Prevnar 20 and the Shingles vaccine, but she only received Prevnar 20. She mentioned that she considers herself anti-vaxxer, but since everyone dies of the flu or pneumonia, she still got the vaccine. She mentioned that that same afternoon she started feeling a sore throat, which she felt like she was getting Strep Throat because she works with children. Then that night she felt an itch in her throat, and she woke up with an itchy rash all over her chest and neck. The itching continued in her throat, and she developed a rash all over her body, starting on her chest, neck, torso, under her bra, underwear, and her private parts. She went to the care response center, and they told her it was just allergies. They gave her 30 mg of prednisone and antihistamines, which didn't help much. She then went to a dermatologist who prescribed hydrocortisone creams, which helped her the most, and she improved a little. However, she stopped the prednisone on a Wednesday, and on Monday her itchy eyes returned. By Friday, her eyes were red and swollen, and on Sunday, she had one eye closed. Yesterday, Sunday, she went to sleep, and this morning she woke up with slightly less swollen eyes, but she feels like the outbreak had come back because the itching started again, and she feels like she was going crazy. She added that her doctor told her this was a delayed reaction and wanted to know if we had any reports or information on how long this might last. She then mentioned that the rash was like a measles rash, small and not like hives, but a tiny rash all over her body. She added that she read that her immune system is overstimulated. She said she feels uncomfortable, that her eyes are burning, and that it all started with a sore throat, which she thought was a throat infection, followed by extremely uncomfortable chest tightness.
