Patient mentioned being nervous about vaccinations and feeling dizzy/faint in the past. I assured him this is normal and one of the reasons why we recommend waiting 15 minutes in the pharmacy waiting area for observation. The vaccination itself went smoothly and and I reminded him to let us know if he's not feeling well. A few minutes go by and i hear a loud noise right outside the immunization area. The patient had fallen to the ground and appeared to be disoriented. I gave him my lab jacket so he could rest on the ground while regaining his bearings. He said this had happned before and didn't need any professional medical assistance. Out an abundance of caution we called 911 and advised him to talk with the paramedics to verify he was okay. He decided to wait outside the store with management and declined further medical intervetnion with the fire department arrived.
