Vaccination failure; mild shingles inside their nostrill; shingles episode down the left or right cheek of her face; This serious case was reported by a pharmacist via call center representative and described the occurrence of vaccination failure in a female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. Co-suspect products included Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. On 08-JUL-2021, the patient received the 2nd dose of Shingrix. On 12-FEB-2020, the patient received the 1st dose of Shingrix. On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Shingrix and Shingrix, the patient experienced vaccination failure (Verbatim: Vaccination failure) (serious criteria GSK medically significant), shingles (Verbatim: mild shingles inside their nostril) and facial herpes zoster (Verbatim: shingles episode down the left or right cheek of her face). The outcome of the vaccination failure was not reported, and the outcome of the shingles was not resolved, and the outcome of the facial herpes zoster was unknown. It was unknown if the reporter considered the vaccination failure, shingles and facial herpes zoster to be related to Shingrix and Shingrix. The company considered the vaccination failure to be unrelated to Shingrix and Shingrix. It was unknown if the company considered the shingles and facial herpes zoster to be related to Shingrix and Shingrix. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 21-APR-2026 Pharmacist mentioned that an immunocompetent patient received first dose of Shingrix and due to Covid, they got a late second dose. At the time of reporting the patient was experiencing mild shingles inside their nostril, patient got a prior shingles episode down the left or right cheek of her face. The batch number was not provided upon follow- up with the reporter. This case was considered as suspected vaccination failure as details regarding time to onset for shingles and laboratory confirmation regarding shingles were unknown at the time of reporting.; Sender's Comments: A case of Vaccination failure, on an unknown time after vaccination with the 1st and 2nd dose of Shingrix, in a female patient. Based on the available information a possible causality that the event was caused by GSK vaccine product cannot be ascertained. Consent for further follow up has not been received.
