he got shingles 4 weeks ago; This non-serious case was reported by a consumer via call center representative and described the occurrence of shingles in a 70-year-old male patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. In OCT-2025, the patient received the 1st dose of Shingrix (intramuscular) .5 ml. In MAR-2026, between 5 and 6 months after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced shingles (Verbatim: he got shingles 4 weeks ago). The patient was treated with valaciclovir (Valacyclovir). The outcome of the shingles was unknown. It was unknown if the reporter considered the shingles to be related to Shingrix. It was unknown if the company considered the shingles to be related to Shingrix. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date:20-APR-2026 The patient received his first dose of the Shingrix vaccine six months ago. He reported that he was expected to receive the second dose of Shingrix the day after reporting; however, he had developed shingles four weeks ago. He further stated that he had been prescribed Valacyclovir 1 gram, to be taken three times daily, and that he completed the treatment the day before reporting. The batch number was not provided upon follow up with the reporter.
