Patient was administered vaccines at a well child visit and while waiting in clinic, a diffuse red rash to forehead and redness and swelling to bilateral eyelids occurred. Patient had been crying post vaccination and when she stopped crying as they were leaving, the mother noticed and reported the condition. Patient was assessed and O2 Sat on room air was 100%, Pulse is 127. No difficulty breathing or rash elsewhere on the body. Patient was drinking water out of a bottle with incident. Diphenhydramine 6.25 mg in 2.5 ml were given to patient at 1425 and within 30 minutes at 1455 the rash to forehead and eyelids as well as swelling had resolved. Patient was discharged home with ED precautions and Diphenhydramine as needed if rash returns.
