Symptom narrative

Patient was seated on her mother?s lap with her legs secured. During vaccine administration, the patient suddenly thrust her opposite arm backward and arched her chest forward, causing significant movement. The mother momentarily lost control of the arm being stabilized, resulting in the patient pulling her arm away from the needle. The needle was displaced before the full dose was delivered, and a portion of the vaccine was expelled from the injection site.
