Symptom narrative

A 55-year-old female with a history of vaccine and medication reactions presents with severe generalized myalgia and stiffness and dark urine. The symptoms began one day 4/2 after receiving the second Shingrix vaccine. Outpatient blood work confirms a diagnosis of rhabdomyolysis despite reporting subjective improvement, second blood test revealed higher enzyme level and she was directed to go to the emergency room. She had denied any strenuous activity, trauma, or drug use, or falls. She was subsequently admitted and started on IV fluids. Her CPK downtrended, the patient remained asymptomatic. She was subsequently discharged on 4/4/2026.
