On an unknown date, the patient received Shingles vaccine. On an unknown date, several months after receiving Shingles vaccine, the patient experienced vaccination failure (Verbatim: Suspected vaccination failure) (serious criteria GSK medically significant) and shingles (Verbatim: he had shingles but without the rash). The reported stated that her husband (patient) received the Shingles vaccine. Several months later, he developed severe pain on one side of his waist. The patient finally went to the physician; he had shingles but without the rash. It was reported that this happens with the shot sometimes. This case was considered as suspected vaccination failure as details regarding completion of primary schedule, time to onset for shingles and laboratory confirmation regarding shingles were unknown at the time of reporting.
