Symptom narrative

Patient came in and states his arm is sore and swollen and cannot move it at all. He got Shingrix vaccine on 5-4-26 and came in 5-6-26 to report adverse reaction. He was in so much pain that he went to see his doctor who prescribed acetaminophen with codeine sent to (name withheld) Pharmacy. He removed his shirt and comparing both arms, his left arm was significantly more swollen than his right arm but no redness at the swollen area. It was also warm to the touch. Patient does not have fever. Dr. told patient he may need to start physical therapy and it might take 6-12 months before he gets full movement back. He states he doesn't want to start physical therapy now and will wait a few more days to see if it gets any better. This was his 2nd shingrix dose. His 1st dose on 2-14-2026 was fine, no issues.
