Suspected vaccination failure; 2 days ago, I have shingles on my stomach so painful; This serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of vaccination failure in a patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) for prophylaxis. On an unknown date, the patient received Shingles vaccine. In APR-2026, more than 2 years after receiving Shingles vaccine, the patient experienced vaccination failure (Verbatim: Suspected vaccination failure) (serious criteria GSK medically significant) and shingles (Verbatim: 2 days ago, I have shingles on my stomach so painful). The patient was treated with gabapentin, valaciclovir (Valacyclovir) and calamine. The outcome of the vaccination failure was not reported and the outcome of the shingles was not resolved. It was unknown if the reporter considered the vaccination failure and shingles to be related to Shingles vaccine. The company considered the vaccination failure to be unrelated to Shingles vaccine. Two days ago, the patient had shingles on his/her stomach. It was very painful. The patient was taking Gabapentin 300 mg, Valacyclovir 1 g, and applying calamine lotion on the area. The physician had said that it would hurt for at least 7 days. It was very uncomfortable. The batch number was not provided, and unable to contact the reporter. This case was considered as suspected vaccination failure as details regarding completion of primary vaccination schedule and laboratory confirmation regarding shingles were unknown at the time of reporting.; Sender's Comments: A case of Vaccination failure, more than 2 years after vaccination with a dose of Shingles vaccine, in a patient.
