Symptom narrative

Pharmacy received email about Immunization Claims Review this morning. After reviewing and consulting state shots records, patient did in fact get both RSV shots (Abrysvo on 04/30/25 and Arexvy on 05/05/26). I have called patient to inform her about the duplicate vaccination administration. Patient was understanding and initially said that her doctor had told her to get the RSV shot and that the pharmacy should have access to the state vaccine records. I apologize for the duplicate administration and that because this vaccine was so new that there is not much information on the adverse events that could occur, besides the normal injection site reaction and possibility of Guillain-Barre syndrome. I did advise looking out for any abnormalities that she may notice and she stated that her arm was still sore from the vaccination. Patient was worried that this may affect her travels and I empathized that she should be able to continue with her daily life.
