late second dose; This non-serious case was reported by a pharmacist via call center representative and described the occurrence of incomplete course of vaccination in a patient who did not receive Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. Previously administered products included Shingrix (received first dose on an unknown date). The patient did not receive the 2nd dose of Shingrix. The patient had incomplete course of vaccination (Verbatim: late second dose). The outcome of the incomplete course of vaccination was not applicable. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 27-APR-2026 The pharmacist reported that a couple of years earlier one of his patients had received their first dose of the Shingrix vaccine and that a year had lapsed since that dose. The pharmacist stated that pharmacist had called Shingrix, the manufacturer and had been told that the recommendation was to restart the series if more than a year had passed. When asked whether the patient had received a third dose by restarting the series, the caller stated that the pharmacist did not recall whether the patient had received another dose apart from the dose the patient had received that day. The report concerned a single patient but, because the healthcare professional did not have patient details, the form referenced the patient as they. The report could have been a duplicate and the pharmacist was unaware of any other details regarding the event. The batch number was not provided and a request for this information has been made.
