heart rate was in the 90s all night; She had a high fever; This spontaneous case was reported by a consumer and describes the occurrence of HEART RATE INCREASED (heart rate was in the 90s all night) and PYREXIA (She had a high fever) in a 71-year-old female patient who received mRNA-1283 (MNEXSPIKE PFS) (batch no. 3052036) for COVID-19 prophylaxis. The suspect product included Pre-filled Syringe injection (batch no. 3052036) for COVID-19 prophylaxis. The patient's past medical history included COVID-19 (covid was not that bad. She barely had a fever with covid) and Infection (one time years ago, she was given the wrong antibiotic). Previously administered products included for Product used for unknown indication: Pfizer vaccine (She did not have a reaction right afterwards, so maybe it wasn't the Pfizer vaccine, but within a week and she started having palpitations and she had them for like 6 months and then they gradually went away) on 04-Nov-2022; for COVID-19 prophylaxis: mNEXSPIKE ((10mcg/0.2ml)) on 30-Oct-2025. Past adverse reactions to the above products included No adverse effect with mNEXSPIKE; and Palpitations with Pfizer vaccine. On 29-Apr-2026, the patient received dose of mRNA-1283 (MNEXSPIKE PFS) (Intramuscular use) 1 dosage form. On an unknown date, the patient started Pre-filled Syringe (unknown route) at an unspecified dose. On 29-Apr-2026, the patient experienced HEART RATE INCREASED (heart rate was in the 90s all night) and PYREXIA (She had a high fever). At the time of the report, HEART RATE INCREASED (heart rate was in the 90s all night) and PYREXIA (She had a high fever) was resolving. DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS (normal ranges are provided in parenthesis if available): On 29-Apr-2026, Heart rate: heart rate was in the 90s all night. Patient had the shingles vaccine like a month ago, everyone it was a terrible vaccine, but she had no problem with it. She barely felt bad; she had a sore arm. No Concomitant medication was reported. Patient had Moderna covid vaccines on 16-Mar-2021, 18-Nov-2021, 06-Oct-2023 Patient went to Pharmacy yesterday and got a Moderna covid vaccine. Patient had gotten Moderna for all her covid vaccines; except one time she got Pfizer and had a bad reaction afterwards. She got mNEXSPIKE yesterday, but the documentation that was uploaded to her doctor said she got 50mcg/0.5ml Moderna covid fall seasonal. Patient had a very strong reaction to the vaccine yesterday and questions if it was mNEXSPIKE. She was feeling better now. It was stated might be it was like the original vaccine she got in 2022 and 2023. She had the same reaction that she did to the older Moderna covid vaccines. Patient had the same reaction to Moderna every time in the early days before they changed the vaccine. Over the years, the second time she got a fever, it was quite high, but then after that, it was not as strong, it sort of was less and less. Patient was less sure of this reaction because it did not start immediately, but the Moderna reactions all happened right away. It was asked the vaccine administrator on 29-Apr-2026 if she was receiving mNEXSPIKE, the one with the smaller dose. Administrator said it was the same amount. Administrator showed the box, but the box looked smashed and dog-eared and like it had been opened. It was confirmed she had lots of Moderna COVID-19 vaccines by the time she had COVID. she was not even sure if she trusted she got the right lot number. It was very strange to her that she would have such a strong reaction to the vaccine that she had zero reaction to last. Patient had about 4, might be more, Spikevax vaccines.
