Had the same symptoms of A fib; This spontaneous case was reported by a consumer and describes the occurrence of CARDIOVASCULAR SYMPTOM (Had the same symptoms of A fib) in an 87-year-old male patient who received mRNA-1273.815 (SPIKEVAX 2023-2024) (batch no. AU3834B) for COVID-19 prophylaxis. No Medical History information was reported. On 05-Oct-2023, the patient received dose of mRNA-1273.815 (SPIKEVAX 2023-2024) (unknown route) .5 milliliter. On an unknown date, the patient experienced CARDIOVASCULAR SYMPTOM (Had the same symptoms of A fib) (seriousness criterion hospitalization). At the time of the report, CARDIOVASCULAR SYMPTOM (Had the same symptoms of A fib) had resolved. Concomitant medication use information was not provided by reporter. A couple of years ago, patient had a COVID shot and ended up in the hospital with a misdiagnosis of A-fib. Because of that, since then the patient had been taking Moderna and went online to search for a Moderna shot in his area and found on the website that they were giving a new type of mRNA vaccine, mNEXSPIKE. The reporter asked if Moderna still makes the earlier type of vaccine and where the patient could get it in his area. It was clarified that the patient had the adverse reaction after an mRNA vaccine. The patient had the same symptoms as A-fib, but afterwards he was fine. The cardiologist advised him that in the future he should take a non-mRNA vaccine. The patient was looking for a non-mRNA vaccine and wanted to know where he could get a non-mRNA COVID shot in his area. It was unknown if the patient experienced any additional symptoms/events.
