Symptom narrative

Patient states the when she got the vaccine in right arm, it started to itch. Patient had been informed to be visibly monitored in case of allergic reaction prior to administration. On 5-12-26, patient arrived in the pharmacy and showed the right arm deltoid region. She states she had been scratching it because it itched in the time between administration and reporting date. She reported no fever. The irritated area was about 3 cm in diameter presenting as a rash that had not spread. Patient reported that the administrator of vaccine had wiped the area with an alcohol swab prior to administration. Regarding the left arm, the patient reported a small lump underneath the skin surface that may be indicative of lipoma/nodule. Patient was referred to physician for follow-up for potential secondary infection from scratching.
