Patient was in the clinic for visit. Pt appt note had "ShingRix2" on it. Unfortunately, we had around 19 to 20 patients in a two and a half hour time span with multiple showing up at one time. I mistakenly looked at his appointment wrong thinking it was a nurse visit when it was actually with a provider. I administered the shingles vaccine to the patient only to later realize he was actually to be seen with the provider and that he had already had his two doses of shingrix. I did not check the chart to see if he had already had two doses. Provider made aware of the situation as was the practice supervisor. Patient was also made aware of the situation and advised him to reach out if he has any issues.
