Symptom narrative

Eyes became very red and watery April of 2021. Began having double vision in approximately July 2021. Saw PCP who ordered MRI of brain and orbits. MRI done approximately late August 2021. Saw Neuro opthamologist at Medical Center, eye center September 15, 2021. Diagnosed with Thyroid Eye Disease. Around this same time, thyroid labs became abnormal and also diagnosed with Graves disease. I was seeing my endocrinologist for management of Osteoporosis at the time and she began to treat my Graves disease with Methimazole. Had an Ultrasound of the thyroid February 15,2022 . Negative for any nodules. I have been on various doses of Methimazole since diagnosis of Graves. It is now May of 2026 and Methimazole has not put the Graves into remission and I am scheduled for Thyroidectomy June 23, 2026.
