Symptom narrative

Bacterial infections, most commonly cellulitis (a skin infection), can occur at the site of a vaccine injection due to the breach in the skin, although this is rare. Keflex (cephalexin) is a common oral antibiotic used to treat such skin infections. Cellulitis presents as red, warm, swollen, and painful skin, often with a raised induration around the injection site. Start antibiotics. Clean site twice a day. RTC for worsening warmth, redness or drainage.
