Symptom narrative

Patient presented to urgent care clinic 4 days after receiving pneumococcal 20 vaccine. She reported left upper arm redness and swelling x 3 days. The day after vaccination, her arm was swollen, red and itchy. She used ice, heat, diphenhydramine and acetaminophen with minimal relief. Also reported myalgias. Urgent care notes indicate likely vaccine inflammatory reaction, and recommended continuation of ice and diphenhydramine as needed. Also prescribed a course of doxycycline for empiric cellulitis treatment.
