A few days after date of vaccination patient reported itching, redness and swelling around the injection site. Symptoms did not improve, the redness continued to grow in size on her arm. Patient reported on 5/13 that she saw a telehealth doctor whom informed her to outline the area and if it continued to grow to report to the ER. The area was warm to the touch. Patient presented at the ER on 5/15, in which they diagnosed her with cellulitis. They administered IV fluids and antibiotics and released her with by mouth doxycycline, clindamycin, benadryl, and famotidine. Patient stated that the area had improved in color and warmth since the emergency visit and was consistent with my visual observation of the area as well.
