Not sure if the first or second shot gave me GBS, but i believe it was the second shot; bladder incontinence; bowel movement irregularity; Brain fog; Extreme fatigue; This serious case was reported by a consumer and described the occurrence of guillain barre syndrome in a 61-year-old female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. In DEC-2021, the patient received the 2nd dose of Shingrix. In JAN-2022, less than 2 months after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced guillain barre syndrome (Verbatim: Not sure if the first or second shot gave me GBS, but i believe it was the second shot) (serious criteria GSK medically significant), bladder incontinence (Verbatim: bladder incontinence), bowel movement irregularity (Verbatim: bowel movement irregularity), brain fog (Verbatim: Brain fog) and fatigue (Verbatim: Extreme fatigue). The outcome of the guillain barre syndrome, bladder incontinence, bowel movement irregularity, brain fog and fatigue were not resolved. The reporter considered the guillain barre syndrome to be related to Shingrix. It was unknown if the reporter considered the bladder incontinence, bowel movement irregularity, brain fog and fatigue to be related to Shingrix. The company considered the guillain barre syndrome to be unrelated to Shingrix. It was unknown if the company considered the bladder incontinence, bowel movement irregularity, brain fog and fatigue to be related to Shingrix. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 08-MAY-2026 The patient self-reported this case for herself. There were no other products. The patient reported that foot drop symptoms, neuropathy symptoms, pins and needles symptoms, loss of balance, weakness of the limbs, difficulty in walking, difficulty in standing, brain fog, leg numbness, foot pain, joint pain, weakness of the arms, arm discomfort, loss of grip, hand weakness, wrist pain, extreme fatigue were not treated. The bowel movement irregularity and bladder incontinence were treated. The batch number was not provided upon follow up with the reporter.; Sender's Comments: A case of Guillain-Barre syndrome (BCWG Level 4), less than 2 months days after vaccination with 2nd dose of Shingrix, in a 61-year-old female patient. Based on the available information a possible causality that the event was caused by GSK vaccine product cannot be ascertained. Consent for further follow up has not been received.
