Symptom narrative

GBS; This serious case was reported by a consumer via call center representative and described the occurrence of guillain barre syndrome in a patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. On an unknown date, the patient received Shingrix. On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced guillain barre syndrome (Verbatim: GBS) (serious criteria GSK medically significant). The outcome of the guillain barre syndrome was not resolved. It was unknown if the reporter considered the guillain barre syndrome to be related to Shingrix. The company considered the guillain barre syndrome to be unrelated to Shingrix. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 13-MAY-2026 The patient's feet were still paralyzed ten months later due to neuropathy. The batch number was not provided and a request for this information has been made.; Sender's Comments: A case of Guillain-Barre syndrome (BCWG Level 4), on an unknown time after vaccination with unknown dose of Shingrix, in a patient. Based on the available information a possible causality that the events was caused by GSK vaccine product cannot be ascertained. Consent for further follow up has not been received.
