The patient came into the pharmacy claiming to want the meningococcal vaccine. The pharmacist claims that the patient wanted the MMR vaccine. After reading up on the receipt that the patient received before getting the vaccine, she claims she clarified with the pharmacist that she needed the meningococcal, which the patient claims the pharmacist said the MMR contained meningococcal. The pharmacist claims the patient wanted the MMR and the pharmacist pulled up the vaccine on her phone to clarify the medication. The MMR vaccine was given, even though the patient was confused on the vaccine. No reaction was reported from the vaccine, but the patient was upset because she wanted the meningococcal vaccine.
