suspected vaccination failure; got the shingles; This serious case was reported by a nurse via other manufacturer and described the occurrence of vaccination failure in a 60-year-old female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) for prophylaxis. Previously administered products included Covid-19 vaccine with an associated reaction of covid-19 (got the vaccine and booster had Covid 4 times). On an unknown date, the patient received Shingles vaccine. On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Shingles vaccine, the patient experienced vaccination failure (Verbatim: suspected vaccination failure) (serious criteria GSK medically significant) and shingles (Verbatim: got the shingles). The outcome of the vaccination failure and shingles were not reported. It was unknown if the reporter considered the vaccination failure and shingles to be related to Shingles vaccine. The company considered the vaccination failure to be unrelated to Shingles vaccine. It was unknown if the company considered the shingles to be related to Shingles vaccine. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 13-MAY-2026 The reporter stated that aunt had surgery and a 60 year old nurse came to the house asked her how did she make out with covid then she said she was not vaccinated never got Covid. Nurse said got the vaccine and booster and had Covid 4 times, got the shingles vaccine got shingles. The batch number was not provided and unable to contact the reporter. This case was considered as suspected vaccination failure as details regarding completion of primary vaccination schedule, time to onset for shingles and laboratory confirmation regarding shingles were unknown at the time of reporting. This case is one of linked case of 2 cases reported by same reporter.; Sender's Comments: A case of Vaccination failure, on an unknown time after vaccination with unknown dose of Shingles vaccine, in a 60-year-old female patient. Based on the available information a possible causality that the event was caused by GSK vaccine product cannot be ascertained. Consent for further follow up has not been received.
