Symptom narrative

Patient called 3 days after receiving Shingrix to report headache, fever, soreness at injection site, chills, and rash on leg , hands, and wrists. Patient reports symptoms started about 2 hours after receiving vaccine. He took acetaminophen which he said helped, but is still experiencing headache and rash 3 days later. Discussed typical side effects from vaccine, but recommended patient not receive 2nd dose. At the time of phone call patient had not sought out medical attention, but recommended he contact his doctor for something to help with rash. It seems after talking to patient that we helped alleviate his concerns.
